sTGC ATLAS Upgrade daily progress
Since today, May 14th 2018, the daily progress of the fabrication process will be uploaded here.
New method for fixing groups of cables
A new method has been developed in order to fix damaged groups of cables without having to wind up the whole cathode again.
New Doublets
Two more doublets have been produced
High Voltage Testing
The new cathodes are being submitted to High Voltage tests in order to make sure they can be used for making a new chamber.
Space distribution
The space in the laboratory is being re-organized. All cathodes are being re-accommodated
Cable soldering
Production of a new chamber has started, today, technicians have been using the winding machine in order to solder the cables to the pads.
New Doublet produced
A new doublet has been fabricated using the two chambers that had been recently closed.
More chambers have been closed
During today, two more chambers have been closed. Later today they will be put together in order to make a Doublet.
